Hardware Details
| Virtualized hosting is based on VMware® technology. VMware offers the only fully compatible, unified platform, VMware vSphere, that seamlessly integrates both private and public clouds to deliver applications securely where and when needed. |
OTX Systems employs a redundant, fault tolerant SAN to protect virtual machines from unplanned downtime. The virtual machines are housed on a fully redundant external disk array with two SAN connections to each VMware ESX® Server.
|
Housing virtual machines on a SAN allows VMware vSphere to automatically recover from VMware ESX Server failures. Virtual machines are automatically moved to other machines in the cluster and restarted.

Daily automated backup of virtual machines is handled by VMware Data Recovery®. Separate physical disk not connected to the SAN is used to store backups. This ensures that data is not lost in case of a highly unlikely catastrophic SAN failure.
